1. Information We Don't Collect

On-a-Scale is built on a privacy-first principle. We do NOT collect, store, or have access to:

• Your thoughts, feelings, or text entries
• Your intensity or importance ratings
• Personal information (name, email, phone, etc.)
• Location data
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Device information beyond basic browser capabilities

2. Local Data Storage

On-a-Scale uses your browser's local storage to:

• Dual Mode Preference: Remember if you prefer to show the importance slider
• Daily Check-ins: Track dates you've used the app (for streak counting)

This data never leaves your device and can be deleted by clearing your browser's local storage or using browser developer tools.

3. Screenshots

When you use the "Save Screenshot" feature:

• Images are generated locally on your device
• Screenshots are saved directly to your downloads folder
• No screenshot data is sent to our servers
• You have complete control over these files

4. Third-Party Services

On-a-Scale uses minimal third-party services:

• html2canvas Library: Loaded from CDN for screenshot functionality (no tracking)
• Hosting Platform: Replit (subject to their privacy policy)

We do not use analytics services, advertising networks, or social media tracking pixels.

5. Data Security

Since your data never leaves your device:

• No risk of server breaches affecting your personal content
• Your privacy is protected by your browser's security measures
• Data is as secure as your device and browser

6. Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All data is stored locally and accessible through browser tools
• Deletion: Clear browser data or use incognito/private browsing
• Portability: Data remains in open browser storage formats
• No Consent Required: Since we don't collect personal data, no consent forms needed

7. Children's Privacy

On-a-Scale doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Parents can safely allow children to use the app, knowing no personal data is collected or transmitted.

8. International Users

This privacy policy applies to all users regardless of location. Since no personal data is collected or transferred, GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations are naturally complied with.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may display a notice in the app. Changes will not affect the core principle of local-only data storage.
